Application - KakaoTalk

1. About my MapleStory Char (Chars, Equip, Range, HP)

I have lvl 159 Aran, named KakaoTalk, also have lvl 70 mules for link skills. my KoC is lvl 45, planning to hit 120 for blessing when i am free of school-work.

I have about 40k clean range, 60-70k when buffed in MP.

I have an HP of 9.5k, 13k with my HB from bottom.

2. Introducing Yourself

My name is Mingyu, 16 years old, from S.Korea, Seoul, though currently living in European part of Turkey. I had been playing kms since its creation, and had to stop playing after moving to Turkey due to my father's work. I think it is January 2010 when I moved to Istanbul, Turkey.

Like is mentioned above, I had been playing kms, and have an abundance of useless knowledge about this game, possibly helpful, sometimes better not knowing -_-. I regularly go on KMS website, including KMS forum formed by maplers called Insoya (no contribution of NEXON to insoya) to check what is going on in the origin of Maplestory on a regular basis..

3. About Your MapleStory History (Previous Guilds Etc.)

I will have to go back to 2010, when I joined a rather national guild called Korea, with the same guild master in Zenith currently. After a few months, the guild deprived due to the inactive guild master, and hence I was, in a sense, obliged to leave the guild and seek a new one. Because I quite liked how it was in the national guild, I went for another national guild called AznStyle. I don't know for how long, but I am quite sure my staying there was quite long, at least for a year, until the guild deprived as well (again, due to the inactive guild master, it was kind of compulsory for me to find another gulid). After that, I remained guild-less for a couple of month, and quitted the game for awhile, waiting for the BB patch.. I spent my time researching KMS to see what is going to be on EMS after BigBang patch, and because of the information from KMS website and users, I could make some fortune out of it..

Then I joined a guild called SINcity, a known illicit guild because of invitations of several friends there.

But again, till September 2011, I remained guild-less, and leveled my KoC to 120 to create an UA, and waited about 15 days? to create UA (UA wasnt out that time) After UA was released in EMS, i made a paladin, named KakaoTalk, and tried to find a guild to dig myself into.

In October 2011, I re-united with ex-Korea guild members and a few acquaintances and create a guild ZENITH *it is this guild, the guild I am currently applying*, agreeing with the guild master SandaraPark. After a month (or a couple of month) I was promoted to jr.master, and let myself down to a normal member here, I could not handle the role of jr master. <RESPECT TO ALL THE JR.MASTERS>

The last year in Zenith was uneasy. It was not as famous as it is now, it was difficult to gather people around; it was just a fresh guild in EMS, hoping and striving to become famous (thankfully, it is one of the popular guilds in EMS as i hoped now)

There were lots of people who put a considerable amount of effort so as to advertise and enhance the guild, and I have to admit I was not the best at it, though I hoped the guild to be quite well-known. What I could do, as a nx-less poor student, was to mention the guild whenever possible, such as on the shop title, in FM, smega (well i didnt use it much tbh) etc.. I just have to admit, I had so much sympathy towards this guild, and I still do.

In May? (not sure) 2010, my main KakaoTalk (paladin) was lvl 175. (with other 2-3 mules +120) However, I decided to delete all the characters and give out all the items I had to focus on my final exam.. after the final exam, frankly speaking, i tried other games for a bit..

In the beginning of July, I went to S.Korea for holidays, stayed there for 2months till the end of August, and came back to Turkey on the first day of September. After this, I restarted off EMS, made lvl 70 cannonners, demonslayers, and mercedes for the link skill, and got some contacts with old-Zenith people. Then I joined ZENITH with my main, another KakaoTalk (Aran), and stayed for about a month.

Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant argument with the guild master here, which I now find ridiculous -- I was wrong, still regreting -- and left the guild by myself. *This is a rather personal issue and I do not want to share this with public yet*

Now that I am writing this application to re-join the guild I sub-founded ^_^

4. Game Activity

I am usually online, except for Tuesday and (sometimes) Friday, the period time varies depending on the amount of school-work I have. I m, at least, coming online on a regular basis majorly for:

1) solo bossing for EXP (anego or zak, sometimes papulatus)
2) PQ to get items / EXP
3) to keep in touch with BL

5. Experience in MapleStory (Bossruns Etc. )

My answer has to be differ for this question, and I am not including BG, Anego, Papulatus.

i) in KMS, I tried Zak, CZak, HT, CHT, Empress, VL with lvl 198 Hero in Bera Server, was in a party that defeated empress 3 times, and have the info of empress.

ii) in EMS, I tried Zak, CZak (with my pally), HT, and VL. I also tried MoN run in EMS (not available in KMS)

I am aware of how to run those boss squads briefly, but not an expertise of it..

6. Your opinion about scamming, KSing and hacking

It is a pure disgust to witness scamming/KSing/hacking as a mapler. I don't know how to describe how I feel towards this topic, but I can assure I find none of the activities mentioned above charming.

7. Reason(s) why you want to join Zenith

As was mentioned above, I sub-founded this guild, and still have great sympathy towards this guild. I would like to remain here as I wished a year ago, when the guild was just created.

8. What you expect from us

A friendly, talkative, helpful, supportive, trustworthy family-like community with a fairly various boss-runs and PQs

9. Reason(s) why you are the right person for the guild? / What you offer for this guild?

I highly demand to be in the guild and I am sure of myself that I am the right person in the guild. All the people here are nice and I would like to be a part of it and learn diverse things from the community here. A well-bonded, socialised group that I want to be in.

I can offer the best help I can provide to all the guild members, whenever possible, to the maximum extend. I will be supportive to everyone in the community, and try to help them when faced difficulty. I promise I will always on the side of everyone here.

I do hope all the information provided above is helpful for you guys to analyse me and hence determine whether I am suitable for this guild or not.

Well since she is the guild leader she discusses with the jr's to accept someone. They will listen to what we have to say but she has a veto on any apply.
That's fair in my opinion as she is the guild leader and has to lead us.

Btw, holding my vote for now. I have to think about this a bit more.

A veto only gives power to stop changes, not to adopt them. Thus a veto allows its holder to protect the status quo.

Mingyu you seem to be a nice person overall but I realy have to think about the vote.

I'll ask the other way round if it's not clear - Ever seen a person getting invited to any guild and at same time getting denied by the leader?
My final vote is based on democracy, but if I see it might harm the guild to go along with the votes before I give a different vote. Did not really happen before & should prove me enough being a democratic person.
But in all cases til now, the guild members have given a well thought vote with an appropriate reason, so I don't really see that problem of "giving a veto-based No/Yes" coming.
If you want to make sure to avoid that problem, just convince me, easy lol

I have never heard a single incident in which a veto system is a democratic system.. there is no sense of equal distribution of rights. In what country does Prime Minister or Presidents has the sole right to make the final decision based upon veto system?

Veto system differs from the government, where Prime Minister and Presidents make the final decision, you see.

Veto system is considered more of a dictatorship nowadays.

Just look at the United Nations. They vote for topics and a few nations have the right to veto. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Also just look at the United States. The President has the right to veto any bill(this is what you call a law before it is in power) but the bill has to pass by a few houses that operate on a democratic system before he can sign the bill into law.

Veto system is nothing like dictatorship, its more like a security system for the ''original member(s)'' in this case Yura, to prevent changes
which (in their opinion) will have a bad influence.

He started this himself. He basically called Yura a dictator, I don't really want that kind of people in Zenith, however I am giving him the chance to convince me to vote yes for him. I'm holding my vote untill I see how he reacts to this.

He didn't call Yura a dictator. He stated that the veto system is more considered of a dictatorship nowadays.
